Matthew 1:1 (KJV)
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
The description given in this verse leads us right in to the “generations” of Jesus Christ but the book itself concerns His generation. It tells us of:
- His birth
- His circumstances and the times in which he lived and
- His own story from birth to resurrection
In some sense the whole Bible is a book of the generation of Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today and forever so His generation never ends. The Bible, cover to cover, informs us of:
- Who He is
- What He does and
- Those who are His own
