Titus 3:1 Give Him Influence

Titus 3:1 (KJV)
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

There is much content in this chapter but before we get into it the Apostle gives us a principle; the preacher’s job is to put people’s minds in a certain order.

People think about a variety of things:

  • Political
  • Social
  • Environmental
  • Economical

Sometimes people think about sports interests or family concerns.

Apostle Paul insisted that the preacher has the responsibility to influence and steer the minds of his congregation.

This leads me to suggest that believers ought to allow their preacher the influence God places upon him.
