Numbers 10:32 Go With Us

Numbers 10:32 (KJV)
And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.

After having stayed and communed with Israel for some time, when it appeared that Israel was about to set in motion, Hobab, considered returning to Midian to his old life and to his old relationships. Moses urges him to stay and then urged him again saying, “Leave us not, I pray thee…it shall be what goodness the Lord shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.”

There will always be people we have grown to love who, at a time of change, whether in their life or ours, will consider leaving. We can’t really stop them. But we can:

Invite them to join us
vs 29

Encourage them not to leave us
vs 31 and

Share the goodness of God with those who stay with us
vs 32
