Acts 24:13 They Can’t Prove It

Acts 24:13 (KJV)
Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.

This passage seems to me to be a pretty fair reflection of what is currently happening in the impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Those things that really bother his enemies could never be sufficient cause for impeachment so they make accusations that they cannot prove.

More to the point is what this passage teaches the modern believer. Those who hate Jesus will hate Christians. They think it strange that we believe the things we do. They think it strange that we will not walk with them in their practice of sin. So, they accuse us.

  • We should not be concerned with those accusations they cannot prove
  • We should take care not to give them accusations they can prove and
  • We should boldly confess those things that are the true source of their agitation
