Acts 7:25 (KJV)
For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
Moses supposed a thing that was not true and spent the next forty years in hiding from God’s call on his life.
He tried to do the will of God in the power of the flesh
How could he have ever supposed God would want him to take human life like that?
He focused on the wrong Israelite when he broke up their fight
The passage says it was the one who did wrong who accused him. I wonder what the other man thought?
He supposed the deliverance of Israel must be in his time
He became burdened at age forty. God used him at age eighty. I wonder how often we get in the flesh supposing God wants to hurry things along?
He was not disqualified because of his error
He got in the flesh, he rushed the plan of God, he focused on the wrong persons. Still, when it was God’s time, God picked him up and used him.
