Galatians 3:19 (KJV)
Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
“Till the seed should come”
The Bible says
- The law serves a temporary purpose
- The law was added because of transgressions and
- The purpose of the law was finished when the seed comes
We know that seed to be Jesus Christ. The law was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. The law now serves no purpose. The answer for sin and transgression is not the law but Jesus. The souls of men need no more duties. We need Jesus. We need to put no more yolk or burden upon people. We need to bring them to Jesus.
The promise of God is not a law. It is a Saviour. It is the seed of Abraham. It is Jesus.
